What is on these pages
Each sun is a circle with rays around it, and every ray is a closed shape you can color on its own. Choose pointed rays, long and short straight rays, or wavy rays. There are large single suns, two medium suns, six small suns, a double outline sun and a solid black silhouette.
Printing and paper
- Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Copy paper suits coloring and tracing; cardstock suits cut-outs.
- For the wavy rays, cut slowly and turn the paper as you go.
- Markers or colored pencils both work; leave a thin white edge around the circle for a glowing look.
Ideas
Use the suns for summer crafts, home or office decor, felt and fabric appliqué, or a warm palette exercise in yellows, oranges and reds. The silhouette makes a simple stencil for paint or sponge printing. The double outline sun also works well cut from gold or yellow card.
