How we make our pages

Every page on slowcoloring.com is drawn by software we wrote ourselves. We do not use AI image generators, and we do not copy images from other websites, books or image libraries.

Drawn by our pattern engine

Mandalas, stained glass windows, geometric designs, zen doodle pages, shape outlines, templates, stencils and color by number pages all come from the same engine. We design the rules: how a mandala ring repeats, how the panes of a window are cut, how thick the lines are at each level. The engine then draws the page from a fixed starting number, so the same page always prints the same way, and we look at every collection before it is published.

Because the drawings are made of exact lines, our PDFs are vector files: the lines stay sharp at any size, and the files stay small.

Print checks on every page

• Black lines on white, no grey shading, no large black areas (except stencils, where black marks what you cut away).
• Closed shapes, so colors stay in place and the fill tool in Color Online works.
• Lines of at least 1 point on Detailed pages and thicker on Easy pages.
• 0.5 inch margins on Letter and A4, and only our small domain name at the bottom, never across the drawing.
