What is on these pages
Each sheet mixes simple shapes drawn with one bold, closed outline: five-point and six-point stars, hearts, crescent moons, suns and snowflakes. Some sheets have one shape per cell, others fit twelve small shapes on a page. The last sheet shows the same shapes as solid black silhouettes. For one shape in many sizes, open the shape pages linked below.
How to print and cut
- Print at 100% (actual size) so the shapes keep their size on Letter or A4.
- Plain copy paper is fine for tracing. For shapes you want to cut and keep, use cardstock (65 to 110 lb).
- Cut just inside the line for a clean edge, and use small scissors or a craft knife for the inner corners of stars.
Ways to use them
Trace them onto fabric, felt or wood, use them as quilting or appliqué patterns, cut garlands and gift toppers, or color them with markers and colored pencils as a quick, calm project. The silhouettes work as stencils: cut the black shape out and dab paint through the opening.
