Mosaic Color by Number
These are 8 free mosaic color by number pages for adults in easy, medium and hard levels with 7 or 8 colors each, printable on US Letter or A4, with full-color answer keys.
What is on these pages
These are abstract mosaics: every cell is a small tile with its own number, and the colors form a pattern as you go. You will find twisted rings, wavy bands, overlapping circles, a six-arm spiral, crossing prism stripes, a rising sunburst, blocks of color and a terrazzo floor. Because there is no scene to recognize, the design is a quiet surprise until the last tiles are filled.
How color by number works
Each cell holds a number. Find the number in the legend at the bottom of the page, pick a pencil or marker that matches the swatch name, and fill every cell with that number. Work one color at a time, from light to dark, so you do not smudge the lighter areas. The picture appears slowly as the cells fill in. Each page comes with an answer key in full color, so you can check a cell or see the finished picture before you start.
Palette ideas
The answer key shows one palette, but mosaics work with any set of 7 or 8 colors. Keep the same numbers and swap in your own: ocean blues and sand, autumn rust and gold, or soft pastels. Write your colors next to the legend numbers before you start.
Printing tips
Download the PDF in US Letter or A4 and print at 100 percent (actual size), not "fit to page", so the numbers stay crisp. Smooth paper of 90 to 120 gsm (24 to 32 lb) takes colored pencils well. For markers, heavier paper or cardstock stops bleed-through. Keep a spare copy of the line sheet if you want to try a second palette.
