Flower Color by Number
These are 8 free flower color by number pages for adults at a medium level with 10 to 20 colors, printable on US Letter or A4, each with a full-color answer key.
What is on these pages
Each page holds one flower subject in a mosaic of numbered cells: a large daisy, three tulips, a sunflower with a patterned seed head, a bouquet of round blooms in a vase, a field of poppies, a swirling rose, a lotus on still water and a five-petal hibiscus. Petals often use two tones, so the flowers look lit from one side.
How color by number works
Each cell holds a number. Find the number in the legend at the bottom of the page, pick a pencil or marker that matches the swatch name, and fill every cell with that number. Work one color at a time, from light to dark, so you do not smudge the lighter areas. The picture appears slowly as the cells fill in. Each page comes with an answer key in full color, so you can check a cell or see the finished picture before you start.
Palette notes
The answer keys use soft, garden colors. If you prefer, keep the numbers and change the flower color only: a blue daisy center or white tulips work just as well, as long as you swap every cell of that number. Greens for leaves and stems are best kept as they are, since they tie the page together.
Printing tips
Download the PDF in US Letter or A4 and print at 100 percent (actual size), not "fit to page", so the numbers stay crisp. Smooth paper of 90 to 120 gsm (24 to 32 lb) takes colored pencils well. For markers, heavier paper or cardstock stops bleed-through. Keep a spare copy of the line sheet if you want to try a second palette.
