Bold and Easy Coloring Pages

What is on these pages

Each page uses our Easy level: bold outlines and large, open shapes. You will find mandalas with 6 to 10 petals, arched, round and tall stained glass windows, a heart and a leaf split into a few patterned sections, wide wavy bands, and simple geometric patterns of blocks, flowers and nested squares.

Who they suit

Bold pages are good when you want to finish something in one short sitting, when you color with markers, or when you prefer larger shapes. They are also good warm-up pages before a detailed one.

Tools and paper

• Alcohol or water-based markers work well because the shapes are large.
• Crayons and colored pencils give a softer, textured look.
• For markers, print on 24 lb paper or thin card and color on one side only.

Palette ideas

Try one warm color and one cool color, plus white. On mandalas, color every other ring in the same color. On windows, use darker colors near the frame and lighter ones in the center so the window seems to glow.
